Yet another day of emergencies for the fire-fighting teams of Sardinia, called to 22 interventions in a few hours in as many locations of the Island affected by fires. In eight cases, aircraft had to intervene to support the teams of operators on the ground.

The flames sent up in smoke several hectares of cultivated fields in Villasor , pastures and Mediterranean scrub in Goni and another six hectares of pasture in Ottana , in the Sogolio area.

Fighting against the fire also in Nurri ( READ ) , in the area of Su Nurazzolu, also flown over by two helicopters of the regional fleet and two military helicopters. Given the extension of the fire, the Forestry Corps , which coordinates the extinguishing operations, has also requested the intervention of two Canadairs from Olbia and Ciampino.

Again, flames and Canadair in flight in Ozieri ( READ ) , in the area of St.zu Candelas, where the flames have compromised a vast expanse of cultivated fields and wooded areas.

Helicopters and ground personnel also in action in Semestene, in the Funtana Cane area, in Siliqua, in the Medau Casteddu area, and in Bolotana.

Attention remains very high: the Civil Protection has in fact issued another weather alert ( READ ) for the scorching temperatures on Thursday, with a consequent alert also for the risk of new fires, even in the Cagliari area.
