The Help Center for people in a state of fragility is born in Cagliari , the first in Sardinia. It is an aid center managed by the Women at the Finish Line Association and created by the collaboration between the Italian State Railways and the Municipality of Cagliari.

The aim of the service, which operates at the railway station, is to welcome and support homeless people and people in difficulty who gravitate around the railway station.

To date there are 18 throughout Italy and they offer listening, guidance, observation of the state of discomfort, addressing adults in conditions of serious social exclusion, homeless and with economic, health or relational difficulties.

The Cagliari Center integrates daytime activities, workshops and clothing distribution up to night reception in the various apartments available. It is managed by the Donne al Traguardo Association founded in 2001 to open spaces for women in the cultural, social, political and economic fields.

There are about forty beds in the low threshold - that is, without an "entry filter " - to accommodate men, women and mothers in conditions of serious social exclusion at night, and a social gathering center and a service have also been activated. for the collection and distribution of food, clothing and furnishings.

At the inauguration ceremony, Mayor Paolo Truzzu underlined the importance of the solidarity circuit activated in the Sardinian capital, in a network action that, in addition to FS and Onds, also involves Caritas and Ozanam.

Anna Maria Morrone, Head of Organization & People Development of the FS Group, expressed her appreciation for the initiative and the will to strengthen the solidarity action promoted by the company. Also present were the councilor for social, welfare and family policies of the Municipality of Cagliari Viviana Lantini; the president of the Women at the Finish Line Association Silvana Migoni and the ONDS director Alessandro Radicchi, and the artist Manu Invisible who created a large mural in the building that houses the Help Center.
