The heartbreaking farewell to the 4 young people killed in the Fonni accident: "They were children of all of us"

Pain and emotion in Fonni for the last farewell to Lorenzo Figus, 17, Marco Innocenti, 18, Michele Coinu, 20, and Michele Soddu, 20 , the four boys who died in the tragic accident on Provincial Road 69 , where the car they were travelling in ended up off the road, ending up in a ditch.

The coffins of the four boys were placed next to each other in the Basilica of the Martyrs, packed with a shocked and tearful crowd ( PHOTO ). Presiding over the funeral mass was the bishop of Nuoro and Lanusei, Monsignor Antonello Mura , who launched an appeal to young people: «Discover the true value of life and love life, which is a treasure to be defended and protected».

"They were the children of all of us ," reads the funeral posters posted by the municipal administration, which has proclaimed a day of mourning, to communicate the community's closeness to the families of the four boys.
