In just six months, around 25 tons of clothing were collected. The experiment launched by the Municipality of Macomer, together with the Ecotessile company, to enhance the separate collection of used clothes through the installation of nine bins located in three different areas of the town center is therefore a success.

As many as 25 tons of clothing of various types were collected, guaranteeing an always punctual service which did not create any problems of accumulation in the areas interested in the collection by citizens. A success then. «It was what we expected regarding the management of the bins - says the Environment Councilor, Toto Listo, satisfied - we knew that the users would respect the few rules necessary to make the service work and guarantee the decorum of the sites identified for the conferment. Amazed, however, by the numbers obtained in these first six months of testing the service. An extraordinary result that largely confirms the validity of the choice made. We thank the citizens for this and, thanks to this commitment, we are able to partially reduce the cost of disposal."

We will immediately proceed to strengthen the service, increasing the collection areas to four.
