The co-pilot fell ill during the flight and the plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Cagliari .

There were moments of apprehension this afternoon on the Ryanair which took off from Naples with destination Mahon airport in Menorca , in the Balearics: the second pilot, a Finnish woman not even 30 years old, felt ill a few miles from Sardinia.

The request for the availability of the track at Mario Mameli was immediate, where the emergency procedures began.

The plane landed in Elmas without problems a few minutes later and the officer was entrusted to the care of the 118 doctors, present on site with an ambulance. Luckily her condition turned out to be quite good: she was diagnosed with bad congestion.

The captain waited for a replacement to resume the voyage.
