With a touching ceremony and a profound sense of duty, this morning the Third Bersaglieri regiment of the Teulada base was the protagonist of a double and special event: about forty soldiers donated blood, thus replenishing the meager supplies at the hospital's transfusion center. Sirai who always needs bags when summer arrives, and commemorated the memory of Major Giuseppe La Rosa , to whom the sampling room has been dedicated for several years.
The officer fell in Afghanistan in 2013 in the course of a heroic action. A beautiful effigy of the soldier was inaugurated and his sacrifice was remembered on the day when the ward was able to stock up on plasma for the next surgical operations.
The ceremony was truly solemn, in the presence of the high commands of the Third Regiment (Colonel Nazario Onofrio Ruscitto), the mayor of Carbonia Pietro Morittu, the manager of the Asl of Sulcis Giuliana Campus and the head of the department Angelo Zuccarelli. The parade of the fanfare of the Bersaglieri is evocative.
