The plan of ASL Gallura? Not classifiable. This is the judgment of Ugl Salute expressed in a note signed by the regional secretary Lino Marrocu and by the provincial secretary of Sassari, with delegation for the Olbia area, Aldo Pireddu.

«Little participation – they write – was requested from the union organisations, lacking a complete document to be examined in time. The plan does not satisfy us in terms of timing, because the construction of the new structures expects them to be completed by 2026, while it is not known how the organic plants will be implemented with the specialists necessary to provide the service within community hospitals, outpatient clinics . It takes years to prepare an adequate number of nursing medical professions, a few more than the construction of the structures".

The trade unionists paint the picture of a still emergency situation: for vaccinations it is necessary to move to Olbia, for instrumental analyzes, such as an MRI, months of waiting are needed. "Expressing a complete opinion after a verbal presentation would be disrespectful to those who have worked for months on a vast and important Health Plan, which in our opinion will see full application in no less than a decade" writes the UGL : «In the meantime, in a region like Gallura, it seems more necessary than ever to continue to apply the regulations in force, re-evaluating the definition of "disadvantaged area", meeting the needs of all citizens and in particular of the elderly population, inserting the figure of the Geriatrician in all community hospitals and in all health centers ». The union therefore hopes for greater involvement before a final draft.

The company deed was also strongly contested in the last mayors' conference which was held in Olbia in the presence of the regional health councilor Doria.
