There is concern in Ozieri about the possible closure of the Antonio Segni hospital operating unit. The "Ozieri Civica" opposition group with councilors Marco Murgia, Anastasia Ladu, Gian Luigi Sotgia, Davide Giordano and Gigi Sarobba sounded the alarm.

"The closure of the ward - underline the directors - inaugurated in July 2016, after years of waiting and huge investments, is scheduled for the next few days and appears irreversible due to a number of doctors currently insufficient to guarantee its full activity".

The councilors, who also speak of "slapping patients and their families", ask for the immediate intervention of the regional health councilor, Mario Nieddu, and the general director of the Sassari ASL Flavio Sensi, as well as the regional councilor of Brothers of Italy, so that "they deal immediately with the parties involved to prevent this moment of crisis in the ward from turning into an operation aimed at depriving Ozieri of the Complex Structure of Neurology, to the advantage of other health facilities that they are free ". In addition, the intervention of the current municipal administration led by the mayor Marco Peralta was also requested. Meanwhile, tomorrow at 10 there will be a sit-in in the hospital square.
