In the eighteenth century to say no to war. The 37th edition of the Peace March took place in Terralba, an initiative promoted by Caritas Sardinia, by the diocesan Caritas of Ales-Terralba, together with the CSV Sardegna Solidale, the Pastoral Unit of Terralba and the Municipality of Terralba.

Among the participants, also mayors, regional councilors, diocesan Caritas, the world of volunteering, parish groups and young people from the oratories.

A silent torchlight procession started from Piazza San Ciriaco to arrive at the Church of San Pietro, where the prayer vigil presided over by Bishop Roberto Carboni took place.

«A voice - said Carboni - that wants to rise in this period of difficulty, war, conflict to ask for peace above all through prayer to the Lord, but also to make people feel that they desire peace, because as the Pope says with peace can be built, while war only produces rubble, pain, wounds and death. We must all commit ourselves, no one can say: 'I don't care, it's something that concerns others or only the powerful."

Among the testimonies, that of Don Angelo Pittau, founder of the March: «We must shout so that there is peace in Sardinia too, and so that it envelops the whole world».
