The accusations of stalking and ill-treatment for which Daniele Ragatzu – forward from Olbia and former Cagliari – ended up on trial in Tempio Pausania would all be invented.

The twist emerged during today's hearing, which lasted over six hours. It was the father of the player's ex-girlfriend who spoke, who then retracted everything : the accusations - according to him - would be the result of a staging concocted by him, his wife and 30-year-old daughter.

Ragatzu's lawyer, Filippo Pirisi, questioned the witness and twice the judge had to suspend the hearing to decide on the reliability of the man's testimony, who at times issued self-accusing statements.

"The girl's father claimed to have made an agreement with his wife and daughter to obtain money from the then Serie A footballer - explained the lawyer Pirisi - and admitted to having given false testimony in the past, when she confirmed the mistreatment and violence suffered by her daughter by her partner. It will now be up to the judge to make his assessments on what the man said ».

The alleged victim, defended by the lawyer Cristina Cherchi, had denounced Ragatzu for facts that would date back to the period between October 2016 and October of the following year, during which the young woman was also expecting a child.

The girl's mother took the witness stand , however she confirmed what her daughter claims about the violence suffered , accusing instead her husband (from whom she is allegedly separating) of having retracted everything to hurt her and her daughter.

He denied that Ragatzu forbade his partner from having sex with her parents and said he sensed that the romantic relationship between the two young men was not going well, but he would never have seen signs of physical violence on his daughter.

The next hearing is set for April 27, a psychologist and two friends of the young woman will be heard.
