Elisabetta Mameli , the lawyer who defends Marisa Francescangeli on behalf of Uil, the union in which the teacher is a member, has been at work for days now to present the appeal . The paperwork should be filed next week.

"I'll limit myself to saying for now that it's a very delicate matter but above all that the suspension only takes place when truly serious, extremely serious events occur - said Mameli -. And given the disputes, this does not seem to me to be the case ».

According to the lawyer, what is contested against the teacher Francescangeli, in service in the school before San Vero Milis, does not deserve this type of measure: «It is certainly exaggerated for what is contested by the school office. That's why we are against disciplinary action which includes the facts limited to prayers, the rosary and little else ».

Francescangeli, as the teacher herself recounted, is also accused of having "terrorized" the children after having dealt with various topics in class, for example the dangers of smoking . It seems that the children, once they returned home, told their smoking parents that they were doing a dangerous thing. But even on this the teacher has always reiterated that his was meant to be an educational lesson, nothing more . And that she had limited herself to answering questions from curious ten-year-olds.

The teacher also returns to the sender the accusations concerning the use of blessed oil on the forehead of children , as someone in the various parental chats reported: " I showed the oil I had taken during my trip to the sanctuary of Medjugorje - explains -. Many were intrigued, that's normal. They also wanted to touch it with their hands . But then evidently there are those who have built a huge story to put me in a bad light ».
