But for about a week the statue of the Virgin Mary , located in the rocky inlet, has been without a head . The alarm comes to the editorial staff from one of the skippers who every week accompanies tourists in the crystal clear waters of the place and from his partner: "She was beheaded."
It is difficult to know whether it is an act of vandalism or whether, instead, it is a simple phenomenon of deterioration of the figurine , at the mercy of salt water and the sea breeze.
«Unfortunately someone must have damaged that symbol – continues the couple -. We believe that these acts of vandalism should be publicly reported given their seriousness."
