Invited by the Democratic Party club of Olbia to talk about environmental, economic and social sustainability, Senator PD, Susanna Camusso, starts from an examination of the political choices made in the last 15 years to argue that a major change is needed that has a prospective vision .

«In our country, the political choices made in the last 15 years have all been made in an emergency, with procedures that have determined the perspective without it being discussed», begins Camusso. "But the emergency is worn out - adds the senator - because it does not allow a glimpse into the future and reduces the spaces for democracy".

All of this, Camusso argues, "requires a change, which should be a left-wing objective, and a political thought that is radical in its objectives". According to the dem exponent, "a transition can only be faced if the 5 Ps of the UN 2030 agenda for sustainable development are added that of Participation: change can only be made if people participate in the change project".

A task that Susanna Camusso entrusts to the Democratic Party: "There may be the conditions for participatory construction if one does not consider the election of the PD secretary, next February 26, as a final date". Furthermore, the senator concludes, "we must have the courage to say that we have done some things wrong, otherwise we lack credibility and do not arouse any passion".

On sustainability, Susanna Camusso believes that there cannot be "without the reduction of inequalities, without the construction of paths that have social justice as a compass for change".
