Sudden illness while going for a swim: he dies on the beach in Buggerru

Struck by a sudden illness while preparing to take a bath. The drama occurred this evening on the beach of San Nicolò, in Buggerru.

The victim is a forty-seven year old: according to an initial reconstruction, he was on the shore, ready for a dive, when he collapsed, ending up on the sand.

The request for help from those present was immediate but also the arrival of the air ambulance, with attempts at resuscitation, unfortunately proved useless: the carabinieri guarded the body until it was removed.
