Stuck under a mechanical earth-moving vehicle all night.

It happened to a 60-year-old worker in Monte Attu in Tortolì, in via Pirastu.

The man was working on the construction of a house on a private lot when for reasons to be ascertained he ended up under the excavator with the tracks that blocked his legs and prevented him from moving. Transported by the 118 helicopter rescue to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari, he is now in serious condition with a trauma to the abdomen.

The alarm was given by family members around 10 this morning but the accident could even go back to yesterday afternoon: immediate searches, the worker was found on the ground where he was working yesterday. Fortunately, the engine of the vehicle that remained running at least warmed it up, allowing it to survive the coldest hours of the night.

To extract the worker from the grip of the vehicle, the intervention of the firefighters was necessary. On the spot arrived the police who work on the reconstruction of the accident.
