Diving is safe again at Punta Negra. Following analyses conducted by the ARPAS (Regional Agency for Environmental Protection of Sardinia) laboratory in Sassari, the microbiological parameters that had led to the temporary ban on swimming in the stretch of sea north of Alghero have returned within legal limits.

The levels detected for Escherichia coli and intestinal enterococci in the sample taken on July 11th were within the limits set by current legislation. The affected stretch, approximately 2,338 meters long, had been closed as a precaution due to microbiological levels exceeding the limits found in previous days.
