Stopped for a check on highway 125: he was wanted throughout Europe

A Romanian citizen for whom a European arrest warrant was pending has been traced in Olbia.

The State Police identified him, engaged in a road surveillance service on State Road 125 in the municipality of Olbia. During the inspection of a vehicle in which two Romanian citizens were travelling, the Officers of the Siniscola Traffic Police Detachment ascertained that one of the two was the recipient of a European arrest warrant issued by the Romanian Judicial Authority for crimes related to traffic and to the production of narcotic substances.

The man was arrested and taken to prison in Bancali at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
