The investigation continues to shed full light on the deaths of Luigi Gulisano and Marisa Dessì , the two elderly spouses found lifeless in December in their home on Via Ghibli in Cagliari.

The couple's youngest son, Claudio , 44, ended up in prison on charges of double voluntary homicide , after allegedly poisoning them with sodium nitrite.

While awaiting the results of the various technical tests and investigations ordered by the Prosecutor's Office , investigators are also focusing on the ways in which Claudio Gulisano allegedly obtained the substance , used, among other things, for food preservation, but which in certain doses can cause death by suffocation . The suspicion is that the man may have easily obtained it on the Internet.
