Driving his Mercedes, he sped along the four-lane Sassari-Olbia road at a speed of 214 km/h , without stopping at the traffic police officers' command who had just captured him with a telelaser.

The man , a 29-year-old resident of Olbia , was identified and stopped a few kilometers later by a patrol . His license was withdrawn with a suspension of up to 12 months and the deduction of 10 points, in addition to fines of over 2,000 euros.

The episode adds to the numerous cases recorded during the summer by the Highway Police of the province of Sassari, which in total withdrew 250 licenses for speeding and other violations of the highway code.
