Snow returns to Sardinia, Holy Week with clouds and rain

Snow was also seen in the early morning, above 1400 meters, on the Gennargentu: in Sardinia, Palm Sunday began under the banner of weather instability. With rain almost everywhere, overcast skies and falling temperatures, albeit with clear differences between the areas: if in Desulo the minimum during the night was around zero, in Orosei it did not drop below 11.7 degrees. The report that arrives from the Arpas control units, scattered throughout the island, says so.

These will be the weather conditions that will dominate throughout Holy Week. What comes from the Air Force weather center is more a trend than a forecast: sudden changes are the order of the day, in the transition period between winter and spring.

The low pressure that is now found on the Mediterranean will tend to position itself on the Balkans, also marginally affecting the island. Cloud cover in the next few days will be irregular and at times compact. The rainfall will continue between Monday and Wednesday in the southern sectors. During the night between the first two days, the temperature in the mountainous areas of the interior could return below zero, with possible frosts. But at the moment there would be no conditions for new snowfalls.

On Friday still rains, concentrated on the eastern sectors, to extend the following day to the whole island territory.

The models make observation reliable until Saturday. For more details on Easter and Easter Monday it is necessary to wait at least until tomorrow.
