The fire alert remains high in Sardinia.

On Wednesday 3 July, according to the bulletin issued by the Forestry Corps , 16 fires broke out in as many locations on the island .

On three particularly challenging fire fronts, the intervention of air vehicles was also necessary.

In particular, a helicopter took off from the Pula base to help the teams on the ground to tame the flames that broke out in the Decimomannu countryside, where the Uta Forestry teams also went into action, assisted by the Gauf of Cagliari and volunteers from Assemini and Siliqua.

Numerous aircraft (Three Canadair and two helicopters) also flying over the Dualchi area, to carry out launches and try to extinguish a large fire that broke out in the Piredu area ( THE NEWS ).

The helicopter from the Pula Forestry base then took off again towards Perda Bona, in the municipality of Quartu Sant'Elena , to support the foresters and volunteers of Sinnai in extinguishing yet another fire ( LA NEWS ) which devastated the island territory, also threatening some homes.
