Siligo, man injures himself with a tiller: he risks losing a foot
Hospitalized at Santissima Annunziata, the alarm was raised by the owner of a neighboring farm

A 90-year-old man was hospitalized after injuring his foot while using a tiller in his field in Siligo . The elderly man, a former laborer in the Porto Torres industrial area, was working in the Bisonza area when the accident occurred. Hospitalized at the Santissima Annunziata Hospital in Sassari, he now risks losing a foot .
He was preparing the soil for crops when he lost control of the tiller. The owner of a neighboring farm immediately raised the alarm , calling 118 after hearing the 90-year-old's screams of pain.
Rescued by paramedics and firefighters, the elderly man was transferred by ambulance to Sassari Hospital. His condition is serious but not life-threatening. Carabinieri officers were also on site to assess the situation.
