Another step forward for the safety and health of the community. Tortolì confirms its position as a vigilant, prepared, and cardioprotected city. The eleventh defibrillator in the city was installed yesterday morning, located at number 8 of Via Generale Toxiri. This strategic location, in the heart of a residential and transit neighborhood (Santa Lucia), expands the network of lifesaving devices already present in the municipality. The simple yet meaningful inauguration ceremony was attended by institutions, volunteers, and the parish.
In attendance were Luca Russo, president of the local Avis chapter, who has always been at the forefront of prevention and giving initiatives; Deputy Mayor Irene Murru; and, representing the parish community of Sant'Andrea, Vicar Father Paolo Balzano and Deacon Mario Pinna, who blessed the new device. A defibrillator with a long history.
The donation was made by Mario Corgiolu, a retired pediatrician, who wanted to make the device in his practice available to the town. This gesture has gone from a private individual to a shared asset: from a clinic tool to a health facility for the entire community. With this eleventh defibrillator, Tortolì is building an ever-thickening and widespread network.
