A large fire broke out late in the morning on a farm in "Sa Roda", in the Silanus countryside, where firefighters are still working to put it out and make it safe. Even if there is talk of spontaneous combustion, checks are underway to concretely ascertain the causes.

The family farm of Martino Mura, a 36-year-old agronomist breeder, is involved . The fire broke out around 11 this morning. The Macomer firefighters intervened on site and also sent two tankers to assist.

As many as 600 bales of hay and another 80 round bales ended up in the immense fire. The extinguishing operations are still underway, also due to the large quantity of combustible material present.

The rapid intervention of the firefighters was able to prevent the fire from spreading further and causing damage to the people and animals present on the farm, between the state road 129 Macomer Nuoro and the railway line.
