In via Oristano there are three desperate families . To take a shower, those who live in these parts are forced to ask friends or relatives for hospitality . Ditto for entering the bathroom: the toilet flush cannot be used. But it is also impossible to clean the house. A nightmare that has lasted for some time despite the reports to Abbanoa.
Davide Agus , who lives in one of the houses in via Oristano, is like a river in flood: «That's enough, this is not life. We pay the bills to get nothing in return.
Valentina Cadoni has two children, one 3 months old and another 5 years old: «We have to choose whether to take a shower or wash the house. The water resource that accumulates in the tank during the night is very little. To wash my children I have to go to my mother's house».
Andrea Marongiu: «I work all day and when I get home I can't always take a shower. All this is absurd. Every day the washing machine stops due to the lack of water. Yet the bills arrive on time.
Abbanoa is aware of the problem and makes a promise: «The system that brings water to Pardu Nou is very old - the Authority said - The water resource does not reach homes because the network is blocked by roots. But now the workers will take action to get the water directly from the aqueduct. There will then be a new link. All this while waiting for a new pipeline to be created by the Municipality which Abbanoa will then manage. The project is already on paper».
