Two new pediatricians are arriving for the vast area of Cagliari . Last week many parents had protested before the regional health councilor's office over the shortage of doctors: at least 3,000 children, it was said in the alarm also raised by the centre-left, risked being left without.

Now the two postgraduates have accepted the provisional assignment and will soon take up service: they are Maria Lucrezia Giua Marassi, who will replace Dr. M. Francesca Vardeu starting from 23 January in the clinic in via Renzo Frau 10 in Cagliari, and Antonella Marongiu, who will replace the pediatrician Elisabetta Anedda from 1 February in the clinic in via del Seminario.

"The activity of the Ares Sardegna offices continues to provide answers to the health needs of citizens through the appointment of professionals capable of guaranteeing health care and, in particular, pediatric care in the area", reads a note from the Health Authority.
