Killing of animals, killing of protected animals, carrying weapons and objects capable of offending, and illegal possession of ammunition.

These are the charges that a 77-year-old hunter from Selargius must answer, denounced by the carabinieri in Selargius.

The military intervened in Su Staineddu after some citizens reported the sound of gunfire. They discovered that the 77-year-old had just killed a crow and ground pigeon with four shots.

The 12-gauge shotgun used was legally detained, but the elder did not have a firearms license. He was then confiscated along with the other four rifles he had at home. The man will be proposed to the Prefecture of Cagliari for the revocation of the authorization to hold weapons.

The carcasses of the animals were seized and subsequently entrusted to judicial custody to the "Center for Breeding and Recovery of Wild Fauna" of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, in Monastir, for subsequent disposal.
