Shipwreck in Santa Maria Navarrese: fishing vessel wreck located

The Coast Guard and search teams have located the wreck of the fishing vessel “Luigino,” which sank on February 11 off the coast of Santa Maria Navarrese.
Antonio Morlè and Enrico Piras, both from Tortolì , lost their lives in the tragedy. Their bodies were never found.
The wreck was located at a depth of approximately 150 meters, approximately 100 meters from where it sank, lying on its starboard side. As far as we know, no bodies have been found so far.
In the last few hours, the Artabro vessel (EMSA Offshore Supply Vessel) with personnel from the 4th Diving Unit of Cagliari on board has entered into action to try to locate the “Luigino”.
The teams operated with the assistance of the CP811 patrol boat of the Arbatax Coast Guard , which, through the Commander of the Maritime District Office Mattia Caniglia , who coordinated the activity, issued an order to close off the affected area.
