With the end of the holidays, school returns, and right on time, the autumn-like rains arrive. We are indeed on the verge of a rather severe deterioration in the weather that will affect northern Italy and the northern and Tyrrhenian parts of Sardinia in the coming hours.

According to Federico Brescia, meteorologist at iLMeteo.it, Italy is preparing for a severe wave of bad weather that, starting today, will bring rain and thunderstorms. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across much of northern Sardinia starting this morning . The severe weather will worsen further during the evening and night. But the climax of this wave of bad weather will be Wednesday the 10th , when it will be a truly "black" day with widespread thunderstorms, some of which are severe, across the northern part of the island.

These phenomena, characterized by their stationary nature and the ability to dump large quantities of rain in a short period of time on the same area, could cause flooding and traffic disruption, putting urban areas under severe strain.
