Half of Sardinia remains closed due to bad weather, continuing tomorrow. For the third day in a row, schools are closed in Cagliari, Medio Campidano, Sarrabus, Sarcidano, Ogliastra, and Baronia . Public sector employees continue to work remotely. Gallura, however, is free to do so, having been removed from restrictions due to the downgrading of its status to an emergency. Measures in Sulcis are yet to be finalized.

The lockdown caused by Cyclone Harry, caged over the Mediterranean by Christian's high pressure system, continues due to the alert levels decided by the regional Civil Protection: the hydraulic risk, i.e. flooding, has moved from orange to red , a color that since 9 pm on Sunday 18 January has also classified the possibility of landslides and flooding (in this case we speak of hydrogeological risk).

The extension of the criticality warning is valid until 11:59 PM tomorrow, January 21st . However, the weather is expected to improve from the afternoon, but Civil Protection, mayors, and Prefectures have decided to implement maximum security measures in the eastern part of central-southern Sardinia. This is to cover the morning and minimize travel. The sub-zones indicated in the criticality bulletin are "Campidano and Flumendosa Flumineddu." However, Sulcis remains in red for another 24 hours due to hydrogeological risk, while the hydraulic one has become orange. This is why the decision on whether or not to continue the closures has not been made. The Tirso and Gallura areas, however, have gone from high to moderate criticality, hence the reopening of schools and public offices.
