The NAS Carabinieri of Sassari have executed a precautionary detention order against two provincial businessmen involved in a rigged auction ring.

The order, issued by the investigating judge of the Tempio Pausania Court at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, imposes an absolute ban on the two individuals from carrying out business activities and holding managerial positions for six months.

According to the prosecution's hypothesis, the two suspects – who are alleged to have acted in conjunction with five other people, all of whom are under investigation – are held responsible for the crime of disrupting the freedom of auctions.

At the center of the investigators' investigation are several judicial auctions ordered by the Gallura Court between late 2024 and early 2025, which were allegedly influenced or altered by the unlawful conduct of the suspects.
