Selargius, young man under the influence of drugs lashes out at the police

A 24-year-old from Selargius reported for assault and injury to a carabiniere.
The young man - already known to the police - went to the local Carabinieri station to file a complaint against his grandfather, who - he said - had threatened and attacked him.
From the first moments, however, the young man, already removed from his mother's home and involved in a proceeding for mistreatment in the family , appeared to be in an evident state of psychophysical alteration, probably due to the use of narcotic substances . This condition made it difficult to communicate with the soldier in charge of receiving the public.
When the tone became more agitated, a second carabiniere intervened to try to restore calm and the young man was accompanied outside. At that point the 24-year-old, instead of calming down, struck a violent blow to the soldier causing an injury to his hand, then fled.
The injured carabiniere was assisted by the 118 medical personnel and transported to the Emergency Room of the Monserrato Polyclinic.
The crews of the Carabinieri's Radiomobile Section instead set out on the trail of the attacker.
