An accident triggered by an unactivated parking brake left a woman in hospital. The story took place last night in Segariu where the carabinieri of the Sanluri Radiomobile intervened. A Mercedes C220, owned by a 62-year-old from Serramanna, had been parked in via Sant'Ambrogio but, involuntarily, the brake had not been applied. Shortly after the car had collided with a Piaggio Porter which, in turn, had overwhelmed the owner who had rushed to try to move it. The woman, a 60-year-old merchant, was rescued by 118 and taken to the hospital of San Gavino Monreale where the doctors discharged her with a 10-day prognosis and various traumas to the legs.
