Maria Delogu has been elected national spokesperson for the Women of the Future Left.

A teacher from Oristano, originally from Scano Montiferro, she currently serves as private secretary to the regional councilor for Public Education, Cultural Heritage, Information, Entertainment, and Sport. She has been involved in volunteer work for years and has always been at the forefront of women's rights advocacy and peace campaigns. She was previously head of the regional department for women and politics at Sinistra Futura.
"The watchwords that have always marked her political commitment range from feminism, peace, freedom, equality, gender parity to gender language, solidarity, gender violence, the constitution, and electoral law," a statement reads.

Her appointment as national spokesperson for Women of the Future Left rewards years of consistent commitment, active activism, and battles for women's rights, effective equality, peace, and social justice.

The powerful themes she highlighted in her inaugural address—from feminism to the Constitution, from gender equality to the use of respectful and inclusive language—plot a clear and valuable path for the commitment that awaits her in building the national working group. Hers will be a collective effort; it's no coincidence that she called herself "prima inter pares."
