The distribution of antigen tests to the mayors of the municipalities that adhere to the screening campaign dedicated to the students of the island will continue today and tomorrow with open hours until 6 pm at the Civil Protection deposit at the Cagliari Fair.

For the realization of the tests - the Region says - swabs equal to 70% of the student population residing in the Municipalities that have so far joined the initiative have currently been delivered, for an expected participation of around 50% of students.

They are not registered, continues the Region, responding to the complaints of the mayors , shortages of devices and other pads are already available for distribution in the case of a higher membership.

"In a few hours, with the great commitment and collaboration of the mayors - declares the commissioner Mario Nieddu - we have prepared a screening activity on a regional scale to ensure safe return to school now that the contagion curve is growing. the timing and the extent of the monitoring activity we are achieving something unimaginable. It is normal that in a situation like this, adjustments are made during construction. It is undoubtedly not an easy operation, but we have foreseen a campaign that can respond to the needs of our territory and which will continue with the resumption of lessons ".

Again: "The mayors have responded strongly to the initiative and we do not know there have been any problems with the distribution of the devices".
