Sassari, trust in the mayor's programmatic lines: the opposition splits

The Chamber votes confidence in the programmatic lines of the mayor of Sassari and the opposition is split . There were 20 votes in favor of the political project that won the last council, eight against, but four abstentions, all from the minority. The latter are the Forza Italia member Vanni Azzena, Maria Luisa Corda and Christian Luisi of Sardegna al Centro 20Venti, and Alessandro Ponti of Azione con Calenda. The blue citizen coordinator justifies the vote by stating that "the programmatic declarations presented by the Mayor were found to be common sense, but not sufficiently in-depth in the ways of achieving the objectives ".
The mayor's reply, which lasted about two hours, to the criticisms of his program, focused on the response to each city councilor who spoke, in which, addressing in particular the civic representatives of the 2019-24 mandate, he reiterated that he was "accepting a legacy to relaunch it". And it was precisely to Antonello Sassu, former councilor for the Environment in the Campus council, who had recalled what the previous council had left, that Mascia responded in one of the few polemical asides of the evening. "At Palazzo Ducale I did not find paradise - these were his words - I urge you, if you think so, to come down to earth".
Even with a view to collaboration with the minority, the differences with the latter appeared evident, at least with the civic one, on two points. The first area concerns the Fosso della Noce and the planned work for the mitigation of hydrogeological risk. «We will act to resolve the problem but the work of the “canalone” will be reduced to the bare minimum. On the other hand, it is enough to see how the prices of materials have tripled in the meantime to understand that with the financial reserve obtained we will not go anywhere». The other area is that of the F4 Zones of which the mayor announces a review. A response was also dedicated to Pratobello24: the mayor was charged with the absence, with the representatives of the majority, at the signatures.
"I have organized many signature collections and I have never allowed myself to come to the Chamber and say 'You weren't there'. On this and other topics, no one has the truth in their pocket, neither me nor you."
