Theft in a bar in Piazza Mazzotti in Sassari. The thieves entered the “Cantine Mazzotti” room after breaking through the entrance window, damaging the door and throwing some bottles of wine and coins on the counter on the ground.

Then they took the cash register and after disconnecting the monitor they fled, stopping a few meters from the room. There they forced the container taking away a meager booty: about 200 euros left by the manager as a cash fund.

It was the operators of Ambiente Italia, the company that carries out the waste collection service, who found the container abandoned in Piazza Santa Caterina and then returned to the owner of the bar. The carabinieri of Sassari intervened on the spot and carried out the surveys and detected the images recorded by the video surveillance cameras, inside and outside the room, useful for identifying the thieves.

“They took away a few coins but some damage was caused - says the manager, Stefano Raga -. But what bothers you most is that every day we face so many sacrifices to carry on the business and then a stupid act of a criminal leaves you embittered, putting our work at risk ".
