The mayor of Sassari met with the Sassari Brigade before departing for their mission to Lebanon. Today, the mayor received the commander of the "Sassari" Brigade, Brigadier General Andrea Fraticelli, at the Palazzo Ducale. Fraticelli was accompanied by the commander of the 152nd "Sassari" Infantry Regiment, Colonel Luigi Carlà.

Mascia thanked the people of Sassari for their international commitment to peace. She expressed her gratitude both personally and on behalf of the administration she leads, the entire city, and the community of the Metropolitan City of Sassari.

The mayor presented the crest of the Municipality of Sassari and a letter addressed to the mayor of Tyre, the city where the multinational contingent led by the Sassari Brigade will operate as part of the mission conducted under the auspices of the United Nations.
