Sassari, the farewell to the Dimonios and the awarding of the silver medal

A farewell ceremony for the Sassari Brigade will take place this Friday, September 25th, in Piazza d'Italia in Sassari. The "Dimonios" are returning from a five-month UNIFIL mission in Lebanon, the United Nations Force deployed in the south of the country, bordering Israel. The event, which will begin at 10:00 a.m. and be attended by city, regional, and national authorities, will feature the solemn awarding of the Army's Silver Medal of Valor to the war flag of the "Sassari" Logistics Regiment, for its work in Lebanon during the 2024-2025 mandate of the "Sassari" Brigade, as part of the UNIFIL mission.
