Just like in the movies and comics, Spiderman and Batman entered the hospital by rappelling from the roof. Not to chase some supervillain, but to give Easter eggs to the young patients in the Pediatrics and Child Neuropsychiatry wards of the Viale San Pietro Clinics of the Sassari University Hospital.
The initiative was promoted by the sports promotion association “Gianni Fresu” , which gave the hospitalized children and young people a moment of extraordinary magic thanks also to the collaboration of the Sassari Fire Brigade Mobile Squad, the Canine Unit, the Fire Brigade Motorcycle Club, the SAF (Speleo Alpino Fluviale) Unit and Moto Fun, who helped transform the hospital spaces into a place of wonder and sharing for a few hours.
Numerous healthcare workers, doctors, and department staff were present, along with the director of Pediatrics, Gianfranco Meloni , and the staff of Child Neuropsychiatry , who expressed their appreciation for the initiative, emphasizing the human value of moments like these, which can make the treatment process more responsive to the emotional needs of young patients and their families.
"This is our third edition," said Salvatore Fresu , president of the Gianni Fresu sports promotion association, "and it's an initiative born from the heart. It's something that deeply gratifies us, because seeing the happiness of children, their excitement in the presence of Superheroes, is truly priceless. We are determined to continue this beautiful tradition: bringing a smile and a moment of lightheartedness to the young patients of the Pediatrics and Child Neuropsychiatry wards in Sassari."
