Spicy reaction from Sardegna al centro 20venti in Sassari against Christian Luisi, who left the party yesterday to join Alleanza Verdi Sinistra and move to the majority group in the Municipality. Giuseppe Testaverde, city coordinator of the Sassari section, speaks of "betrayal" and denial of the popular vote, author of a statement in which he harshly criticizes the former associate of the political creature of Antonello Peru and Stefano Tunis.
"Not having the courage," writes Testaverde, "to take responsibility for his about-face and hand over the mandate to the political force that allowed him to be elected, the councilor in question justifies himself with inconsistent arguments, claiming ownership of 600 votes as if they were a package of shares or private political capital to be unfrozen at will and not the fruit of a shared political project." For Testaverde, Luisi's statements are an offense "to the intelligence of the voters" and then he explains why : "To elect a councilor in the defeated group, about 1,900 list votes were needed, certainly not 600. Our list, Sardegna al Centro, collected 4,000 votes overall, allowing the election of two councilors. If 600 votes were enough for a seat, as the defecting councilor claims, we would have had to elect almost seven."
But the issue is not just mathematics for the city coordinator. "Whoever uses politics as a tool to satisfy personal ambitions, trading the trust of voters and the political force that allowed you to be elected, for private gain, not only betrays the mandate received, but also fuels that dangerous detachment between citizens and institutions". Finally, the future purpose: " Sardegna al Centro 20venti will continue to fight for a political commitment based on coherence, responsibility and respect for the popular will ", concludes Testaverde.
