"Help us find our father." This appeal comes from Luigi Manunta, son of Salvatore, 76, who left his home on Via Coghinas in the Latte Dolce neighborhood of Sassari on July 18th.

"He suffers from Alzheimer's and is barely speaking. Anyone who sees him should notify the police immediately." Salvatore, a retired bricklayer, has been spotted more than once in the past eleven days. "But not all reports are reliable."

Compared to the photo shared on social media, the man is much thinner, has a full beard, and, according to his son, "he now looks like a homeless man." His clothes are also apparently no longer the same as those worn on the 18th. "They saw him on Via Emilia," Luigi continues. "He stayed there for three days, changing into clothes from the garbage, and then he left." A person reportedly recently encountered him, describing him as "scared."

The search is ongoing, led by Luigi and his brother with the assistance of volunteers from the AEOPC animal protection units, coordinated by Manuel Chessa. Today, until the early hours of the morning, patrols continued on the city streets, which had been patrolled since the incident was reported to the police, including Via Emilia, Via Pascoli, Via Sorso, Via delle Conce, Via Roma, Via Usai, Viale Sicilia, and the Public Gardens. "We are devastated and exhausted," says Luigi Manunta. "We ask you to help us, please."
