Race against time to save a baby born in Sassari just one day old and in need of urgent and specific care at the Bambino Gesù pediatric hospital in Rome.
The authorities therefore requested the intervention of the Air Force, which had the Falcon 900 of the 31st Wing, specialized in urgent medical transport, take off from Ciampino airport.
At Alghero-Fertilia airport, the little patient - in a thermal cot and assisted by a medical team - was loaded onto the military aircraft, which left for Rome.
After landing in the capital, the child was then taken by ambulance to Bambino Gesù, where he is hospitalized.
