The PSD'Az provincial committee for the Sassari area has been elected. The count of approximately 150 voters resulted in the appointment of 21 representatives, 14 from the majority and 7 from the minority. Thirteen sections participated in the Sassari elections, with five locations: Porto Torres, Castelsardo, Ozieri, Alghero, Thiesi, Stintino, and Pattada.

The result is the fruit of the congress—the last one dating back to 2015—convened in November in Sassari and opened by the former governor of the Sardinia Region, Christian Solinas, after eight years of the party's provincial administration being under special administration.

Six theses were presented at the congress, and among those that emerged were those of Sardinian identity and autonomism. Gavino Gaspa, from the Porto Torres "Simon Mossa" section, received the most votes, followed by Michele Testoni, from Ozieri, in second place, and Vanni Piras, from the Andalus Nova Insula section of Sassari, in third.

Gaspa expressed his satisfaction with the votes he received: "Perhaps they've chosen someone with a lot of experience to lead the party toward the upcoming challenges. Starting with the Metropolitan City, where it seems to me the ideas aren't very clear and aren't well received by the local community." And regarding the upcoming elections in 26 municipalities in the Sassari province: "There are no pre-established alliances. If necessary, we'll go ahead on our own."

Salvatore Piana, a representative of Future and Independence, ranked 10th in the vote, commented: "The PSDA is renewing and rejuvenating itself. And the majority, with its representatives spread across the country."

Within 15 days, the chairman of the Credentials Committee, Roberto Erre, will call consultations for the appointment of the provincial territorial secretary and an administrative secretary.
