Life sentence for Claudio Dettori . The second degree of judgment also confirms, this afternoon in the Court of Appeal in Sassari, the conviction for the 27-year-old accused of the murder of Antonio Fara on 22 April 2021 in the 48-year-old's home in via Livorno.

The panel, chaired by judge Maria Teresa Lupinu, reiterates the sentence pronounced in the Court of Assizes last year. A verdict that comes following the results of the psychiatric assessment carried out by Paolo Milia which, in fact, attested to Dettori's capacity to understand and will , as the general prosecutor Maria Gabriella Pintus recalled in the courtroom today, while admitting his personality disorders .

One version, that of the expert, contested today during the discussion by the defense lawyer Giuseppe Onorato. The lawyer declared the incompatibility of the exam, carried out in a few hours, with those carried out for months by the psychologists and psychiatrists of the Uta prison where the Sassari native has been detained for some time. Also stigmatizing the inclusion of sentences from the accused in the report which, according to European legislation, could not have been reported.

Onorato also underlined the need for an additional investigation into some aspects of the affair, which in his opinion are unclear, as well as the absence of a motive for the murder of the bartender . The reasons for the sentence will be communicated in 90 days.
