A 55-year-old Milanese man arrested last Friday in Sassari by state police after attempting to take the wheel of an ATP bus on the Caniga-Sassari route was jailed. According to reports, during yesterday's court hearing, the man had touched the dashboard buttons and the steering wheel while the bus was moving.

The driver then immediately stopped the vehicle, and the man fled, but was soon caught by police officers. He, represented by Ivan Golme, was charged with disrupting a public service and endangering transportation safety. Judge Stefania Mosca-Angelucci ordered Bancali to serve a prison sentence. Camilla Battaglini was the prosecutor.
