Sassari's local police will be carrying out increased patrols for the Easter holidays. Officers will be present both in urban areas where accidents typically occur, and along the main routes connecting the city to the coastal towns, where increased traffic is expected for day trips to the beach. Particular attention will be paid to traffic exiting the city center and toward the coastal areas of Platamona, Argentiera, and Porto Ferro, popular destinations for day trips. Special patrols will be in place to ensure traffic flow and prevent dangerous driving behavior. Patrol services will also be intensified along the coastline to ensure safety and compliance with regulations in the busiest coastal areas. A focus will also be placed on evening and nighttime patrols to monitor drivers' physical and mental health. Police stations are also planned near the city's nightlife hotspots, where increased patrols will be carried out.
During the checks, compliance with the main rules of the Highway Code will also be verified: use of restraint systems, prohibition of cell phone use while driving, and compliance with speed limits.
