Sassari, courier overwhelmed and crushed by his pickup truck: it's serious

Serious accident at work this morning in Santa Anatolia , a local road in the countryside of Sassari .

A 30 - year - old courier was crushed between his van and a fence wall as he went about his job . The man, who got out of the vehicle to make a delivery, was run over by the truck for reasons yet to be ascertained, suffering serious chest and abdominal trauma .

Immediate reporting to the operations center rushed with a 118 ambulance.

The courier was stabilized by the health workers and, given the seriousness of the injuries, he was immediately transported in red code with the air ambulance , which departed from the Alghero headquarters, to the Santissima Annunziata civil hospital where he is hospitalized.

On the spot the operational team of the Sassari firefighters who proceeded to secure the site and the vehicle.

The local police were also present for the safety of rescue operations and to understand the exact dynamics.
