Pretrial detention in Bancali prison confirmed for Alessio and Stefano Levanti, investigated for attempted murder.

The preliminary investigations judge Gian Paolo Piana ordered it this morning after the preliminary hearing held in the Bacchiddu prison in recent days, where Stefano, defended by the lawyer Paolo Spano, had denied his presence on the day of the attack, while Alessio, assisted by the lawyer Mario Pittalis, had availed himself of the right to remain silent.

The incident, according to the reconstruction by the Carabinieri, took place in a club on Via Duca degli Abruzzi, in Sassari, last July 19, when a 62-year-old was hit in the back of the head, perhaps with a hammer, by three people for reasons still under investigation.

The third person investigated for what happened is Luca Silanus, also the recipient of a precautionary measure but, at the moment, outside of Sardinia and who is defended by the lawyer Lorenzo Galisai.

The victim had suffered a brain trauma and a skull fracture, injuries for which he is still being treated. Meanwhile, also today, the police commissioner decided to suspend the license for 15 days of the premises that had been the setting for the violence.
