Sassari, apartment fire breaks out: owners' dog rescued

An apartment fire broke out this afternoon in Sassari. Firefighters had to use a ladder truck to put out the blaze that broke out in a first-floor apartment in a building in Li Punti.

The crews' prompt intervention prevented the flames from spreading significantly from the terrace into the home. The owners' dog, who were not home at the time of the incident, was recovered safely. Local police were also on site.
